I took the kids to the park this week.
It was a great day...I was looking around at the other parents in the park and how they reacted to their kids and I noticed a nice looking man being man handled by his 3 year old...
This man had who appeared to be his mom with him and his son who was running from him and wouldn't let the dad catch him..After an embarrassing 10 mins the dad finally said "fine lets go grandma and get some ice-cream John can just stay here" at this point little John starts running toward his dad screaming and crying and literally hanging off his fathers pants legs.....
They proceed to the car and now little John does not want to get in his car-seat.
He starts kicking and hitting his father in the face..I was really saddened to see this....
The father's life must be miserable and little John must be more miserable.
I think as moms we have to teach our children to mind us...We have to teach the "first time rule" and preach to them the importance of minding Mommy and Daddy.
I know some who might think that the father should teach the children to mind and yes ideally that would be correct but....it has to start somewhere and usually we are around alot more..
This father who is probably a big shot at work can't get it right at home.
I know that this child may have been having a bad day but we can't justify our children's bad day for complete and totally disrespect of their father......
No wonder more dads don't want more kids....
A good way I have found out for our husbands to want more children is to teach our other children to have good manners and to respect Daddy above all..
If you teach this to them while dad is away and then practice the manners etc..
when dad comes home it will blow his socks off..And then he will start disciplining and enjoying his children.
As moms we have a huge role in the lives of our kids and we can't sit around and complain about how bad our kids are we have to do something about it......
I feel sorry for all involved really because it did not bring honor to this dad or his mom. This little boy was not trained to be a blessing.........
Lord give us wisdom as we raise our children..Help us teach them the importance of authority in their little lives...
