Something familiar about the handwriting

I reached in grabbing mail and to my surprise the handwriting looked quite familiar. Almost too familiar like it could of been my own but it wasn't. It was hers! The way she curls her R's. The writing I helped her with so many years ago coming to my mail-box, our mail-box. A letter to me, her mom, letting me know how very much she loved me and admired me for the loving, confident woman that I am. (Undesereved I assure you) Emotions reaching the top and spilling out. Scott beside me smiling. "Best Friends forever" our favorite moto still etched in my mind.

Could it be that our friendship is stronger than ever. We laugh and giggle and plan as if we need no other friend in the world.. We share secrets and knowing looks... We often think of the same thing at the same time..Weird I know! We work along side each other in the most graceful of ways. I knowing what she doesn't like to do and she knowing the same of me. We download music and love the same songs. We cook together every night...Last week I had a tooth ache and was in bed and she came in and said "mom, do you want to pour the butter so we can say we did it together?" The next day she had to drive me to the dentist after hours and she stayed with me in the room. Was she embarrassed as most young people would be? No, she stayed she would of held my hand if I asked her to..I know she would've so don't laugh. Just who she is!

We gently remind each other on those days that seem long that this is just a season in our life and this will pass as unnoticed as the summer passes to fall. We have to enjoy the ride we're on and enjoy we do..

We are friends and outside of Scott she is my very dearest best friend in the whole wide world.

She is one of the most caring, gentle spirits that I have ever been around and I'm rich beyond measure to have her..

The handwriting is on the wall, my heart wall, and I'm thankful for the hours I have been able to pour into my daughters life. I tell ya it's all about Time...and the grace the Father gives...

Thank you Lord for allowing us to homeschool.

Thank you Lord for Taylor whom I don't deserve.

What a lovely thing to do. How blessed you are to have such a precious young lady. My guess is, she is just like her mama. Lovely.....
